Traveling to explore and absorb new sights, cultures, tastes, ways of being and archaeological wonders plants a smile on her face and paces her heartbeat to the rhythm of her soul.
She seeks inspiration from, and strives to recognize the Divine in all: the mundane and the sacred, the painful and the joyous, the darkness and the light… And in all of Life’s mysterious and magical dualities and blessings… It’s an evolutionary journey and she walks it just one step at a time!
Interested in development and the environment, Sharmilla has a Master’s degree in Town & Regional Planning.
Professionally, she’s been a Special Investigator with the Scorpions: Directorate of Special Operations (DSO), within the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) of South Africa; she’s been the Johannesburg regional manager of Liquor Affairs and has worked within the National Liquor Authority at the Department of Trade and Industry (dti) of South Africa. She currently works for the South African government.
